Delete it in the app

Deleting your account takes four steps and happens immediately.

1. Open Christian Adult Blocker and sign in.
2. Go to the Me tab, at the bottom right.
3. Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete account.
4. Enter your password to confirm it is really you, then confirm the deletion.

Your password is asked for on purpose. An account holds private things, and a deletion should never be one stray tap away.

If you cannot open the app

If you have lost the app, your device, or access to your account, email hello@christianadultblocker.com from the address you signed up with, and ask us to delete your account.

We will verify that the request comes from the account owner and then delete it for you. We aim to do this within 30 days, and usually much sooner. Ask from a different address and we will not act on it, because that is how someone else would try to delete your account.

What is deleted

When you delete your account you are hidden immediately, and nothing is erased for 30 days. After 30 days everything below is permanently removed from our servers:

• Your login and profile: email address, password, name, avatar.
• Your recovery record: streak, check-ins, journal entries, setbacks, moods, weekly reflections, your stated reasons, your signed covenant, fasting records and your victory ledger.
• Everything your companion held about you: its conversation history, the notes it inferred, and anything you told it to remember.
• Your Bible highlights, bookmarks, reading progress and scripture memory.
• Your community posts, comments, prayers and direct messages.
• Your uploaded files: profile picture, photos sent in messages, and photos attached to posts.
• Your settings, reminders and blocking preferences.

Anything held only on your phone is wiped from the device at the same time.

What we keep, and for how long

Two narrow things survive deletion, and we would rather tell you plainly than let you find out later.

• Purchase records, where tax and accounting law requires us to keep them. These are records of a transaction, not your recovery data. Finnish law requires this for six years. They contain no journal, message or check-in content.
• A minimal enforcement record, if your account was banned or restricted for breaking the community rules. Without it, anyone could clear a ban by deleting their account and signing up again, which would put the people you were removed from at risk again. It holds only what is needed to recognise the ban.

Nothing else is retained. We do not keep a shadow copy of your entries.

Deleting some things only

You do not have to delete your whole account to remove something. Inside the app you can:

• Delete any community post or prayer you wrote.
• Unsend a direct message within fifteen minutes of sending it.
• Remove anything you told your companion to remember, one item at a time, from its settings.
• Correct what the companion believes about you wherever it says it.

If you want something removed that the app does not let you delete yourself, email us and ask.

Your subscription

If you pay for Premium, read this before you delete anything.

Deleting your account does not cancel your subscription. Premium is billed by Google Play, not by us, so it has to be cancelled through Google. Open the Play Store, go to Payments and subscriptions, then Subscriptions, and cancel Christian Adult Blocker there. Cancel first, then delete.

Refunds are handled by Google under Google's refund policy, because Google takes the payment.
